Teun is a former IT professional and computer programmer who now focuses on economics and monetary systems. After founding multiple companies, in 2011 he moved to Africa and turned his attention to developing affordable housing. His experiences in Africa led him to arrive at some of the same conclusions as Silvio Gesell, although at the time he was not aware of Gesell’s existence. He is the founder of the 1coinH system, which is an alternative monetary model that incorporates demurrage and Universal Basic Income.
